Today Lexar announced the latest version of its Professional 3500x CFast 2.0 card, this time doubling the capacity to 512GB. The new card comes with a massive capacity and speeds fast enough to make it ideal for cinematographers, filmmakers, and content creators especially those that are capturing 4K and ProRes video as well as RAW photos. Along with the 3500x line, Lexar’s 3600x CFast 2.0 card line will also see its capacity double to 512GB later on this year.

The new card comes with a massive capacity and speeds fast enough to make it ideal for cinematographers, filmmakers, and content creators especially those that are capturing 4K and ProRes video as well as RAW photos. Along with the 3500x line, Lexar’s 3600x CFast 2.0 card line will also see its capacity double to 512GB later on this year.
Aside from delivering half a terabyte on something as small and portable as an SD card, the new 3500x CFast 2.0 Card has quoted write speeds of 445MB/s and read speeds of 525MB/s. This gives content creators the space they need to store their content while giving them enough speed to capture the content and read it for editing. The card comes with a lifetime copy of Lexar’s Rescue software, which, according to Lexar, can recover most photos and select video files, even if they’ve been erased or the card has been corrupted. Along with this the card comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
Availability and Pricing
The 512GB version of the Lexar Professional 3500x CFast 2.0 Card is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2017 priced at $1699.99.
