Over the years portable storage has been getting progressively faster. With the advent of the consumer based cloud, everyday users starting moving files such as documents and pictures to the cloud versus portable storage. However, creative professions are only getting better and better equipment that makes larger and larger files. These users not only need a lot of capacity, they need the ability to offload the data quickly or edit workflows quickly with programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve, and RED REDCINE-X PRO.

The new NA611TB3 fits in the palm on one’s hand and can be loaded with two M.2 NVMe drives. As of this writing that would bring the total capacity up to 4TB (though higher than 2TB capacity for consumer M.2 NVMe drives is most likely right around the corner). The device can be setup in no RAID, RAID1, or RAID0, for the right amount of capacity, performance, and data protection needed. According to the company, the new device leverages Thunderbolt 3 and NVMe to be over seven times faster than the external USB 3.1 Gen1 SSD storage device.
