Looking at the numbers, the company is reporting net revenue of $7.8 billion, a 4% jump from the same time last year. HPE is reporting a GAAP diluted earnings per share (EPS) of $0.29, higher than the expected $0.19-$0.23. Non-GAAP diluted EPS was reported at $0.44, again up from expectations of $0.35-$0.39. Cash flow from operations is being reported at $1.2 billion.
The company’s Hybird IT showed revenue of $6.2 billion up 3% year-over-year (though flat when adjusted for currency). Compute revenue was 5%, and storage revenue was up 1%. HPE reported revenue of $785 million for its Intelligent Edge, up 10% YoY. And its financial services had a revenue of $928 million.
HPE returned $1.1 billion to its shareholders in the form of share repurchases and dividends, with a quarterly dividend of $0.11.25/share. For 4Q18, HPE expects GAAP diluted net EPS to be in the range of $0.16 to $0.21 and non-GAAP diluted net EPS to be in the range of $0.39 to $0.44. For the full fiscal year, the company is expected GAAP diluted EPS of $1.85-$1.90 and non-GAAP diluted net EPS to be between $1.50-$1.55.
