A Compact, 1U rackmount NAS for small and midsize business needs.

QNAP Systems announced the release of the TS-433eU, a space-saving 1U rackmount 4-bay NAS designed to meet the data storage and backup needs of small to midsize businesses and organizations. With a slim depth of only 11.51 inches (292.3 mm), the TS-433eU is ideal for space-constrained settings, fitting easily into compact cabinets or wall-mounted racks. It is also an optimal choice for offices, IT rooms, or even factory and surveillance setups.

QNAP TS-433eU Processor and Storage Capacity

The TS-433eU leverages an NPU-accelerated ARM Cortex-A55 quad-core processor designed for stable multitasking while prioritizing energy efficiency. With 4GB of onboard memory and an embedded Neural Processing Unit (NPU), this NAS handles AI workloads with improved efficiency, such as face and object recognition in QNAP’s QuMagie photo management app. In addition, the unit consumes up to 80% less power than traditional x86 NAS models, making it an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution for business environments that demand reliable and secure storage.

This model features four 3.5-inch SATA 6Gb/s drive bays, allowing businesses to configure ample storage using either 3.5-inch HDDs or 2.5-inch SSDs for high-performance or high-capacity configurations. The NAS also includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) ports, offering expansion capabilities via QNAP’s TR-004U short-depth USB JBOD, which can increase overall storage capacity to up to 144TB when configured with 24TB HDDs in RAID 5.

QNAP TS-433eU Features

The TS-433eU supports backup from multiple sources, including PCs, servers, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365. The device also enables remote backup options through another NAS or QNAP’s immutable myQNAPcloud Storage, providing an extra layer of protection against ransomware. Data security is further reinforced with AES hardware encryption, allowing the NAS to secure sensitive data while maintaining high processing speeds.

The TS-433eU also comes equipped with two 2.5GbE RJ45 ports for high-speed data transfer that can scale up to 5Gbps (via port trunking or SMB multichannel functionality). These connectivity options improve fault tolerance and allow rapid access to large files and efficient backup and restore capabilities.

The TS-433eU is designed to support various applications, including Docker-based container deployments, which allow businesses to run microservices or lightweight applications seamlessly within the NAS. Additionally, it can be integrated into a video surveillance setup using QNAP’s QVR Pro software, making it a versatile solution for business environments requiring secure video monitoring.

The TS-433eU is built to last, running smoothly from 0-40°C (32-104°F) and handling humidity levels from 5-95% without condensation. It’s equipped with three 40mm fans to keep it cool and stable, while its compact size (just 1.7 x 16.93 x 11.51 inches) and weight (8.84 lbs) make it easy to set up in smaller spaces. It also features a Kensington security slot to protect your hardware and valuable data from unauthorized access for added peace of mind.
