Dell adds news servers to the IRSS program and includes Dell Smart Cooling.
Earlier this year, Dell introduced the Integrated Rack Scalable Systems (IRSS) program, which provides pre-configured, plug-and-play rack-scale systems featuring Dell Smart Cooling. This program simplifies the deployment of energy-efficient AI infrastructure by offering single-call service and support for the entire rack. Additionally, Dell supports packaging waste management, recycling, and environmentally responsible disposal of outdated hardware.
Dell has expanded the IRSS program to include the new Dell PowerEdge XE9685L and XE7740 servers within the standard 19-inch Dell Integrated Rack 5000 (IR5000). The IR5000 is designed for high-density applications, offering a compact form factor that delivers high performance while maintaining energy efficiency.

With dual 5th Gen AMD EPYC processors and compatibility with the NVIDIA HGX H200 or B200 platforms, it supports up to 96 GPUs per rack, setting a new GPU density and scalability benchmark. The platform includes up to 12 PCIe Gen 5.0 slots, offering extensive customization to meet specific workload needs.
This server is ideal for organizations tackling massive computational challenges, such as building large-scale AI models, running advanced simulations, or performing genome sequencing. Dell PowerEdge XE7740
The PowerEdge XE7740, a 4U air-cooled server, offers exceptional flexibility for diverse AI, data analytics, and inferencing workloads. It supports dual Intel Xeon processors with P-cores, enabling configurations with up to 8 double-wide accelerators, including Intel Gaudi 3 AI accelerators or NVIDIA H200 NVL GPUs. Alternatively, it can accommodate up to 16 single-wide accelerators, such as the NVIDIA L4 Tensor Core GPUs.
The XE7740’s versatility lets enterprises tailor their configurations for a range of use cases, from fine-tuning generative AI models and running inference tasks to deriving actionable insights from vast datasets.
