EcoFlow App & Other Accessories
The EcoFlow App can be downloaded from the Apple App and Google Play Stores. After creating an account, you can connect to your device via Bluetooth and link it to a Wi-Fi network, enabling remote management from anywhere.
The first image shows the EcoFlow app’s main page for the DELTA 3 Plus unit during active charging. It highlights the unit charging at its rated 1500W rate, displayed as 1.45kW, and the estimated remaining charge time. The main page also provides access to historical statistics, including the unit’s power draw and input data. Additionally, you can conveniently control the unit’s AC outputs, 12V DC, and USB outputs.
The next screen displays the EcoFlow app’s settings page. Here, you can adjust and view various options, including AC charging speed, car charging current, Smart Generator auto start/stop, X-Boost, output port memory, grid bypass disable, discharge limit, electricity rate cost configuration, operating modes, and task scheduling.
This final image highlights important AC charging speed settings. Since the unit can draw up to 1500 watts — ideal when using a 20A receptacle and circuit — this feature limits the charging speed, ensuring compatibility with areas that may have overloaded circuits or 15A 120V plugs and preventing breaker trips and hazards. Additional settings include optimized battery charging to enhance battery health and quiet charging for balanced noise levels during operation.

When the DELTA 3 Plus is paired with the EcoFlow Smart Generator 3000 (Dual Fuel), it automatically replenishes power at night, ensuring continuous backup without manual intervention. The generator provides the same charge rate as plugging into a wall outlet, fully charging your power station in just 56 minutes. It integrates seamlessly with EcoFlow’s portable power station and offers dual-fuel flexibility, providing a choice between gasoline and propane for reliable power during outages or off-grid use.
The DELTA 3 Plus supports multi-charging (AC + solar) as an optional accessory. During daily use, you can plug in AC and solar to charge the unit, prioritizing solar to save electricity costs. It can also charge independently using solar power alone, providing a sustainable energy option when no other option is available.
Another optional accessory is charging via an 800W alternator charger power source. A traditional DC power adapter allows you to charge the DELTA 3 Plus in only 1.3 hours, 8 times. This feature enables charging on the go during travel, eliminating the need for pre-charging and ensuring you’re always ready for use.

DELTA 3 Plus Capacity Testing and UPS Transfer Time
The EcoFlow Delta 3 Plus has a capacity of 1,024Wh. In testing, its performance during discharge (100% to 0%) and recharge (0% to 100%) cycles provided insightful data about its efficiency and practicality.
- Discharge Efficiency: The unit discharged 0.91kWh (910Wh) during testing, reflecting an efficiency of approximately 88.9%, accounting for energy lost due to conversion and system operations.
- Recharge Efficiency: The unit required 1.18kWh (1,180Wh) to recharge fully, translating to an 86.8% recharge efficiency. This indicates energy losses during the charging process, which are typical due to factors such as heat generation and battery chemistry.
Another test we use for portable power stations is a UPS-mode transfer time test. We fully charge the unit with a workstation connected to it and remove incoming power. We then measure the time it takes the unit to switch from line power to inverter power. In the graph below, using our Quarch Mains Power Analysis Module, we measured a transfer time of just over 8ms. EcoFlow lists the unit as offering a 10ms transfer time, which it easily met.
