Global power management solution provider Eaton Corporation intends to acquire Firebond to expand its reach into the growing data center infrastructure market.
In a significant move to bolster its position in the rapidly growing data center infrastructure market, Eaton Corporation has announced its intent to acquire Firebond Corporation for approximately $1.4 billion. This acquisition highlights Eaton’s focus on growing its modular, pre-integrated power enclosures, which are essential for modern data center operations.

Eaton Modular Data Center
The deal, expected to close in the third quarter of 2025, will allow Eaton to expand its reach into modular infrastructure within the broader data center market. Firebond, based in Minden, Louisiana, specializes in creating modular buildings designed to house and protect essential electrical and telecommunications equipment for data centers, industrial clients, utilities, and communication networks. Eaton projects that Firebond will generate around $378 million in revenue for the fiscal year ending on February 28, 2025.
Firebond’s product lineup includes pre-integrated, modular enclosures to safeguard essential equipment, ensuring reliability and resilience in challenging operational environments. This acquisition aligns strategically with Eaton’s ambitions to deepen its offering in critical infrastructure, complementing its existing portfolio in power management and data center solutions.

Firebond Quesa Project
From a financial perspective, Eaton anticipates this acquisition will generate approximately $110 million in adjusted EBITDA in 2025, with a neutral impact on earnings-per-share during the first year. The substantial investment underscores Eaton’s confidence in the long-term growth trajectory of data center infrastructure, especially as enterprises increasingly adopt AI, high-density computing, and hybrid-cloud deployments, all of which demand robust, modular power solutions.
