Today Qumulo announced a refresh of its fully integrated file storage solutions. Qumulo will be leveraging Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Apollo 4200 Gen10 servers and the performance they can bring. The two companies state that the combined solutions will provide enterprise organizations scalable, software-defined file storage with deep data visibility into unstructured data workloads that scale-across on-prem, hybrid and cloud environments.
Today Qumulo announced a refresh of its fully integrated file storage solutions. Qumulo will be leveraging Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Apollo 4200 Gen10 servers and the performance they can bring. The two companies state that the combined solutions will provide enterprise organizations scalable, software-defined file storage with deep data visibility into unstructured data workloads that scale-across on-prem, hybrid and cloud environments.
According to IDC the scale-out file storage market will more than double by 2022 to an $11B market. The two companies are looking to address this growing market with an ultra-dense rack-scale file storage, low total cost of ownership (TCO) in a 2U chassis form factor. Leveraging HPE Apollo 4200 Gen10 servers, together with Qumulo’s hybrid cloud file storage users can see a few cost-optimized offerings for different environments. According to the company, geographically dispersed environments can leverage continuous replication to move data between data centers and the public cloud.
Configurations include:
- HPE-90T (hybrid platform optimized for scalable performance at a smaller capacity): HPE-90T delivers flexible, modern networking with 25GbE or 100GbE options. The 90TB of raw capacity uses 9 x 10TB HDDs and 3 x 960GB SSDs.
- HPE-192T: The hybrid HPE-192T is optimized for a balance of performance and capacity. This platform also offers modern 100GbE networking to further deliver on that performance. The 192TB of raw capacity uses 24 x 8TB HDDs and 6 x 960GB SSDs.
- HPE-336T: The HPE-336T capacity-optimized solution for archive environments provides incredible density and total cost of ownership (TCO). By having 336TB in a 2U server, using a single CPU and requiring only 2 x 25GbE network ports, this system delivers TCO. The 336TB of raw capacity uses 24 x 14TB HDDs and 4 x 1.92TB SSDs.
