When Plextor announced their first SSDs in late January, two things were missing, a ship data and pricing. Plextor has solved both those issues – the 64GB PX-64M1S and 128GB PX-128M1S are available now for $225 and $400 respectively. The SSDs feature Marvell controllers, SATA II interface and mainstream SSD performance levels.

Plextor has solved both those issues – the 64GB PX-64M1S and 128GB PX-128M1S are available now for $225 and $400 respectively. The SSDs feature Marvell controllers, SATA II interface and mainstream SSD performance levels.
In terms of performance, the PX-64M1S offers 110MB/s sequential read, 65MB/s in sequential write, and up to 4,200 random read IOPS and 1,200 random write IOPS. The PX-128M1S brings 130MB/s sequential read, 70MB/s sequential write, and up to 4,300 random read IOPS and 1,800 random write IOPS.
Both Plextor SSDs come with a unique wear leveling algorithm to maintain reliability and efficiency of the drives. Plextor is also including a copy of Acronis True Image software to provide users with backup and recovery tools.

Plextor SSDs are available now, with MSRP of $225 for 64GB and $400 for 128GB.
