Samsung today introduced the highest-capacity 7200RPM hard drive for notebooks, the Spinpoint MP4. It is available with 250GB to 640GB of capacity and will be available to OEMs this month.
Samsung today introduced the highest-capacity 7200RPM hard drive for notebooks, the Spinpoint MP4. It will be available in 250GB – 640GB capacities, have a SATA 3.0Gbps interface, and a 16MB cache. The Spinpoint MP4 drives include Samsung’s SilentSeek and NoiseGuard technologies for a claimed quieter operation.
The Samsung Spinpoint MP4 drives will be available to OEMs in April 2010; pricing and other availability have not been announced.
