Transcend has launched their latest external storage product, the StoreJet 25M3 rugged portable external hard drive. It uses a 2.5-inch hard drive and has USB 3.0 connectivity.
Transcend has launched their latest external storage product, the StoreJet 25M3 rugged portable external hard drive.
The company claims the 25M3 has a data transfer rate up to 90MB/s through USB 3.0 The drive is also backwards compatible with USB 1.1/2.0.
There are three layers to the 25M3’s shock protection: a vibration-absorbing silicone outer shell, a reinforced hard casing, and an internal hard drive suspension damper. The 25M3 meets MIL-STD-810F 516.5 transtit drop-test standards.
The StoreJet 25M3 comes with a three-year limited warranty, backup software, and 256-bit AES encryption. The drive is available now in 500GB and 640GB capacities. Pricing information has not been announced.
