Other World Computing has announced their Multi-Mount adapter kits for installing 2.5-inch hard drives and SSDs into 3.5-inch bays. Kits are available for Mac, Mac Pro, and PC tower computers.
Other World Computing has announced their Multi-Mount adapter kits for installing 2.5-inch hard drives and SSDs into 3.5-inch bays. Kits are available for Mac, Mac Pro, and PC tower computers.
There are seven new kits available; all come with the required installation hardware. The kits enable owners to do the following:
- one 2.5" hard drive or SSD into a 3.5" drive bay or
- up to two 2.5" hard drives or SSDs into a 5.25" drive bay or
- up to two 3.5" hard drives into a 5.25" drive bay or
- a combination of one 2.5" hard drive or SSD and one 3.5" hard drive into a 5.25" drive bay
Features of the drives include rubber dampeners to cushion contact between the drives and the computer case, which reduces noise and vibration, and aluminum powder-coated rails.
