QNAP Systems has expanded its current business Turbo NAS servers to include the new TS-x59 Pro II series. The models feature Intel Atom D525 dual-core processors, USB 3.0, and support for SATA 6Gb/s drives.


QNAP Systems has expanded its current business Turbo NAS servers to include the new TS-x59 Pro II series. The models feature Intel Atom D525 dual-core processors, USB 3.0, support for SATA 6Gb/s drives, dual Gigabit LAN ports, four USB 2.0 ports, two eSATA ports, and load balancing capability.

Additional specifications include 1GB of RAM (expandable to 3GB) and support for 3TB drives. The TS-x59 Pro II series NAS have support for RAID 0, 1, 10, 5, 6, 5+ hot spare, 6+ hot spare, 10+ hot spare or JBOD, online RAID capacity expansion and online RAID level migration for data redundancy.

The new models include the TS-459 Pro II (4-bay), TS-559 Pro II (5-bay), and the TS-659 Pro II (6-bay).

Pricing and Availability

The QNAP TS-x59 Pro II series NAS will be available this April from QNAP resellers. Pricing information has not been announced.
