New RAID Features
NAS 2.0 lets users easily manage RAID expansion and migration – single disks can be expanded to RAID levels 1 and 5. The software can also migrate between RAID levels without affecting the stored data.

Backup Features
Backups can be automatically scheduled to or from USB or eSATA drives connected to the LaCie NAS. Full or incremental backup modes are available; NAS OS 2.0 features a wizard to assist with file restorations.

OS Support
NAS OS 2.0 is fully compatible with Mac OS X up to 10.7 (Lion). 2.0 still supports SMB, AFP, Time Machine, iSCSI target, NFS, and Windows domain integration. Additionally, NAS OS 2.0 can automatically update itself.

Availability
NAS OS 2.0 is supported on all Network 2 products; the upgrade is available for existing users free of charge. Download the update at lacie.com/nasos2.
