Buffalo Technology has introduced two new products: the MiniStation Extreme 2.5" portable external hard drive and the DriveStation Axis Velocity 3.5" external hard drive. Both come with a two-year warranty and will be available October 2011.
Buffalo Technology has introduced two new products: the MiniStation Extreme 2.5" portable external hard drive and the DriveStation Axis Velocity 3.5" external hard drive. Both come with a two-year warranty and will be available October 2011.
The MiniStation Extreme has a ruggedized casing, shock protection and a wrap-around USB cable. For security it features 256-bit AES encryption.
The DriveStation Axis Velocity features a high-speed 7200RPM drive. It can stand upright or lay flat. 256-bit AES hardware encryption is optional.
Pricing and Availability
Both drives will be available in October 2011. The MiniStation Extreme has a retail price of $94.99 for the 500GB (HD-PZ500U3) and $129.99 for the 1TB (HD-PNT1.0U3). The DriveStation Axis Velocity is $94.99 for the 1TB (HD-LX1.0TU3), $134.99 for the 2TB (HD-LX2.0TU3) and $179.99 for the 3TB (HD-LX3.0TU3).
