Plextor has added to their SSD lineup with the M2P SSD which features a Marvell 88SS9174 processor and SATA 6Gb/s interface. If that sounds familiar, it should, we reviewed Plextor’s PX-M2 in March – from a hardware perspective they’re about the same drive. The main difference this time around looks like a doubling of the drive cache and updated firmware; Plextor is promoting it’s “True Speed” technology as the driver behind read speeds of 500 MB/s, writes of 440 MB/s and sequential 4K IOPS of 70,000.
