DataCore’s STAR HA software is designed to help businesses eliminate management difficulties caused by using Storage Area Networks (SANs). The software automatically mirrors data drives on each Windows Server to a centralized DataCore STAR server. The software helps improve performance by caching repeated disk requests.
The DataCore STAR server stores a current copy of the data drive used on the servers; if a server goes down, another server can pick up where it left off by getting that data from the STAR server. The solution has the added benefit of automatically redirecting requests to the central DataCore STAR server when a local server data drive is inaccessible.
