Both the 2-bay ReadyNAS Duo v2 and 4-bay ReadyNAS NV+ v2 benefit dramatically from the introduction of 1.6Ghz Marvell CPUs and two USB 3.0 ports. Unlike the ReadyNAS Ultra, which has dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, these products feature just one GbE port. Other advanced features like iSCSI have been omitted, though this is not that surprising given that these units are starting at $200.
Netgear’s private cloud will be expanding on November 13, with the MSRP of the ReadyNAS Duo v2 at $199 and the ReadyNAS NV+ v2 at $399. Both products can be enhanced via Netgear’s ecosystem of ReadyNAS Add-ons, such as TiVo, and ship with a three-year limited warranty and phone support.
