It’s backwards compatible all the way to USB 1.1, of course, but where’s the fun in that? The company says all this speedy goodness comes with only 300 mA power consumption, so your notebook’s battery will hardly notice it’s there. The drive is compatible with Windows ReadyBoost and also features Toshiba’s proprietary block-level password-protection software.
Pricing announced today puts the 32GB version at $102 and the larger 64GB model at $192.
