Toshiba adds to the river of CES product announcements today with the introduction of a new line of USB 3.0 flash drives. Available in 32GB and 64GB capacities, the TransMemory-EX series boasts maximum transfer speeds of 220 MB/sec for reads and 94MB/sec for writes when mated a USB 3.0 port.

It’s backwards compatible all the way to USB 1.1, of course, but where’s the fun in that? The company says all this speedy goodness comes with only 300 mA power consumption, so your notebook’s battery will hardly notice it’s there. The drive is compatible with Windows ReadyBoost and also features Toshiba’s proprietary block-level password-protection software.
Pricing announced today puts the 32GB version at $102 and the larger 64GB model at $192.
