Teradata, a analytic data solutions company, has announced that the Teradata Data Warehouse Appliance 2690 is now available for worldwide shipment. The Teradata Data Warehouse Appliance is a fully integrated analytical platform designed to deliver double the performance with up to triple the data capacity of its predecessor.
Teradata is the industry’s first to deploy automatic block-level compression into its architecture, delivering ultra high performance when compressing data. Data is automatically compressed and decompressed as needed without requiring a database administrator. The new Data Warehouse Appliance will take advantage of Teradata Columnar with Teradata Database 14, delivering further advanced levels of performance and compression.
