HighPoint delivers easily integrated SAS 6Gb/s port-connectivity at a competitive price with two models available at launch. The Rocket 2720SGL comes equipped with two Internal Mini-SAS ports (SFF-8087) for conventional storage configurations, and the Rocket 2722’s two external mini-SAS ports (SFF-8088) is ideal for server towers that require external storage expansion. Both Rocket 2700 models support up to 8 SAS/SATA HDDs and SSDs, and are powered by a PCI-Express 2.0 x8 host interface.
The Rocket 2700 product line can be integrated into existing PC-based server and workstation environments and is fully backwards compatible with SAS/SATA 3Gb/s devices and PCI-Express 1.0 motherboards. Its simplified BIOS navigation and driver packages allow for quick and easy installation into any PC platform. Driver support is also available for all current Microsoft operating systems and major Linux distributions.
Availability
The Rocket 2720SGL and Rocket 2722 will be available by early March from HighPoint’s world-wide network of reseller channels.
