Bocada cites a recent survey by the Enterprise Strategy Group showing that 62% of organizations implement separate applications to protect physical and virtual environments. If these solutions require independent management and administration, it can lead to higher costs, lack of coordination across data protection operations, and difficulty in responding to compliance audits. Bocada vpConnect addresses these issues by correlating data protection activities across environments, providing visibility and analysis in a single console.
Bocoda’s DPSM Ecosystem
vpConnect integrates Bocoda’s Prism, an agentless reporting solution, and VMWare’s vCenter reporting with Bocoda Vision, allowing consolidated navigation and dashboards and correlated reports for virtual and physical backup results. vpConnect analyses the performance and resource of snapshots, replications and backups throughout the ecosystem. This level of integration will allow administrators to spend less time collating data and focus instead on analyzing operations across the enterprise.
Administrators are able to manage to SLAs with alert and ticketing integration for problem management. Utilizing Bocoda’s “Most Used Volumes with Client Recovery” reporting, vpConnect also helps users locate best recovery points.
