The Cisco UCS solution is a data center solution that combines compute, network, storage and virtualization into a single system that’s designed to both reduce total cost of ownership while improving flexibility. Cisco customers have been looking for ways to increase performance further, which makes the new ioMemory solution ideal for Cisco UCS uses who want reduced latency for key applications.

The Cisco relationship marks another major OEM solution for Fusion-io who recently updated their offering for HP’s Gen8 ProLiant and BladeSystem platforms

Availability

The ioMemory storage solutions for Cisco UCS Blade Servers are expected to ship in fall 2012 and will be available through Cisco’s channel partners.
