The Force GS series offers 6Gb/s SATA 3 connectivity for new systems builders, along with SATA 2 compatibility for existing systems. According to product specifications, the Force GS 128GB and 240GB model offer a maximum of 90k IOPS on random 4k writes. The 360GB and 480GB Force GS drives feature a maximum of 50k IOPS on random 4k writes.
These increases in performance are largely the result of using a new architecture that features toggle NAND. The Force Series GS also supports the TRIM command, which directs SSDs to store only data that must be written to disk and performs other memory optimizations to improve write speeds.

The Force GS Series is now available at US $189.99, $239.99, $349.99 and $489.99 for 180GB, 240GB, 360GB, and 480GB models. Force GS drives ship with a 3.5-inch adapter for use with notebooks and desktop PCs.
