The VNXe3150 is designed to support virtualization for up to 50 servers and is part of the EMC VSPEX Proven Infrastructure solutions for Citrix XenServer, Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere.

The VNXe3150 uses a 2U rack mount enclosure that contains 12 3.5" NL-SAS hard/flash drives or 25 2.5" SAS hard/flash drives. Buyers can opt for either single or dual controller options. Single controller versions support form 6 to 50 drives (up to 150TB RAW), where the dual controller configuration goes up to 100 drives (up to 300TB RAW). Both versions leverage a Xeon Quad Core processor, dedicated management port for each controller and offer support for RAID 5/6/10. For organizations that need just a bit more, EMC offers the VMXe3300, a 3U member of the family which offers dual controllers, more system RAM and support for up to 450TB of raw storage.
