The new TS-x69L series Turbo NAS is equipped with 512MB Disk on Module (DOM) with dual firmware image design for system downtime prevention. If the firmware becomes corrupted due to accidental power loss during a system boot, the NAS will boot with the backup firmware and automatically recover the failed one for continuous system uptime.

The TS-x69L series is designed for SMBs who need comprehensive and reliable storage solutions to optimize their virtualization environments. The iSCSI protocol provides a IP-SAN solution for server virtualization and supports VMware vSphere, Citrix XenServer and Microsoft Hyper-V. Since the TS-x69L series is certified with VMware Ready for ESXi 5, it supports both vSphere 4 and vSphere 5. The TS-x69L series also supports Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN), which can be used to create different network segments for different devices to communicate with each other regardless of where they are located.

The TS-x69L series provides customers a cost-effective way to develop a private cloud storage with cross-platform file sharing and centralized storage for Windows, Mac, and Linux/UNIX users. IT administrators can retrieve user accounts from Windows AD or LDAP-based directory servers by enabling Windows AD or LDAP directory services as well as assign access rights on the Turbo NAS to cut the time and effort spent in setting up accounts for large-scale businesses.
Its flexible backup solutions include Real-time Remote Replication (RTRR) for real-time or scheduled data backup, cloud-based storage data backup to Amazon S3, ElephantDrive and Symform , and the support of third-party backup software including Veeam Backup & Replication and Acronis True Image. Additionally, IT administrators can use the LUN snapshot to back up contents in the LUN to various storage destinations with snapshot technology. The free QNAP NetBak Replicator aids PC users in setting real-time synchronization and schedule backup and auto-backup to the Turbo NAS. The TS-x69L series also supports Apple Time Machine backup and Mac OS X users can back up data to the Turbo NAS, restore the system, or retrieve files from a specific backup timestamp.

The TS-x69L series supports the Surveillance Station Pro for advanced network surveillance; more than 1,400 IP cameras with one free camera license. Up to 12 IP cameras can be installed on the TS-x69L series.
