LaCie, in collaboration with designer Philippe Starck, have announced the Blade Runner, a 4TB external hard drive with a USB 3.0 interface. LaCie will manufacture only 9,999 of the drives, which now arrive 20 years after the initial collaboration which has become a design hallmark for both LaCie and Starck in the years since.

The Blade Runner features an aluminum body which conducts heat away from the enclosed hard drive via blades that act as a radiator. A LED power button and activity indicator are in the shape of Starck’s signature. The device is bundled with 10GB of Wuala Secure Cloud Storage account and backup software.
