Buffalo Technology has announced its new BuffaloLink cloud storage solution, which gives customers an easy and secure way to bridge digital content. Available on the impending LinkStation 400 Series, BuffaloLink securely connects users to their content for easy management and access through the Internet. The BuffaloLink cloud relay system was built from the ground up by Buffalo and is designed to provide users the highest ease-of-use as well as performance. BuffaloLink is a free service hosted on Buffalo owned servers in the U.S., Europe and Asia and is supported by Buffalo products, including the LinkStation 400 Series of NAS devices, which is launching in early 2013. BuffaloLink also has no advanced configurations or membership fees.

BuffaloLink account registration and login is located at www.BuffaloLink.com. It provides users with simple navigation and immediate access to their data. Users can seamlessly aggregate supported products and access device settings as well as tools from one password protected account as opposed to maintaining instructions and login credentials for multiple Buffalo devices. Additionally, users can access their data from their Apple and Android smartphones and tablet devices.
New NAS Units
The new LinkStation 400 Series boasts high-performance network storage and features an upgraded processor for transfer speeds of over 80MB/s. Its new user interface offers a new look and feel in addition to its intuitive navigation and easy-to-use setup wizards. The LinkStation 400 Series sports a black matte-finish chassis and is available in a single-drive, two-drive or diskless. The new family of NASs are also the first to feature the new BuffaloLink remote access and content management service, which is free for the life of the product.
Buffalo LinkStation 420D
Buffalo’s LinkStation 400 Series comes with a three-year limited warranty and includes toll-free 24/7 US based technical support. All three configurations will be available in early 2013.
- LinkStation 410D will replace the LinkStation Pro (LS-VL) and will be available at an estimated street price of $229 for the 2 TB (LS410D0201), $269 for the 3TB (LS410D0301) and $399 for the 4 TB (LS410D0401).
- LinkStation 420D will replace the LinkStation Pro Duo (LS-WLV/R1) and will be available at an estimated street price of $289 for the 2 TB (LS420D0202),
$369 for the 4 TB (LS420D0402), $469 for the 6 TB (LS420D0602) and $719 for the 8 TB (LS420D0802). - LinkStation 421E will replace the LinkStation Pro Duo (LS-WVL/E) and will be available at an estimated street price of $149 for the diskless enclosure (LS421DE).
