Symantec today announced its NetBackup solution has been certified by SAP to provide big data backup and recovery integration with the SAP HANA platform, allowing NetBackup customers to unify backup across SAP HANA solutions.
SAP HANA provides an in-memory database to process transactional and analytical workloads. SAP’s new Backint API and certification process for backup solutions gives organizations the ability to backup SAP HANA directly to the NetBackup platform. The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified the integration.
Availability
The NetBackup solution for SAP HANA will be generally available to customers in Q2 of this year under the SAP agent licensing schedule.
