Hitachi Data Services (HDS) is announcing its new Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) which offers users the ability to manage content securely in an off-premise cloud environment. HCP Anywhere allows employees to access content from anywhere, at any time, on any device easily. End-to-end file sharing is securely maintained by corporate IT to be deployed safely and securely. By downloading an iOS app for mobile devices, users can easily access content without needing any formal training, and this ease of use extends to the administrators with simple setup, deployment and management of the application. HCP integrates with Microsoft’s Active Directory Services and affords administrators with the ability audit and manage large numbers of users.

HCP users can send links to content instead of using attachments, which drastically reduces the data sent through the network for speed and efficiency. This also lessens the overall footprint of the content with respect to storage and backup requirements, which along with the ease of administration accounts for lowering TCO by up to 60%.
Hitachi has also announced the Hitachi Cloud Services Provider Program which allows third-party providers to partner with HDS to supply their customers with the full suite of HCP capabilities under Hitachi Cloud Services. HDS partners build and maintain their own services based on the Hitachi Cloud Services platform.
Availability
The Hitachi Content Platform and HCP Anywhere are available immediately from HDS directly and also from Hitachi TrueNorth partners. Later in the year, enhancements to HCP Anywhere will include integration with Hitachi Data Ingestor to improve content distribution and simplify management.
