Lenovo ThinkCentre M32 Thin Client Announced

Lenovo is announcing its ThinkCentre M32 thin client that features an Intel Celeron platform with plenty of legacy port support. The ThinkCentre M32 is designed for enterprises looking for a value offering that provides a desktop virtualization offering, and since data resides on the network with thin clients, capital investments and security threats (viruses, data theft, etc.) are minimized. Lenovo’s ThinkCentre M32 thin client also provides users with either the Linux-based thin client operating system called LeTOS or with Windows Embedded Standard 7. On top of the flexible OS offerings, Lenovo Terminal Manager (LTM) software is included to centrally manage thin clients. Lenovo developed that software with Devon IT.

As the ThinkCentre M32 ships with a rich feature set for enterprise level functionality, its cost effectiveness is improved even further. On top of that, the centralized processing simplifies the management capabilities for maintaining data and hardware assets, as well as monitoring system access and enforcing security policies and procedures.

Beyond that, the M32 has Energy Star 5.2 green certification, ensuring that organizations can gain an even greater cost benefit from in virtual desktop environments.

Pricing and Availability

The Lenovo M32 will be available starting October 2013, with pricing starting at roughly $259.
