VMware has announced their vSphere Mobile Watchlist is now available, allowing users to remotely monitor important virtual machines in their vSphere infrastructure with a smartphone. Users can also discover diagnostic information about any alerts on their VMs with VMware Knowledge Base Articles and the web as well as remediating problems from a smartphone by using power operations or delegating the problem to someone on their team who is back at the datacenter.

VMware vSphere Mobile Watchlist features include:
- Easily create VM Watchlists: Select a subset of VMs from a VMware vSphere VM inventory to tell the app what VMs to track. Use multiple lists to organize these important VMs.
- VMS at a glance: Review the status of these VMs from your device including: their state, health, console and related objects.
- Suggested KB articles: If users have an alert on their VM, VMware vSphere Mobile Watchlist will suggest what KB Articles might help to discern it or search the web to gather more information about it.
- Remediate remotely: Use power operations to remediate many situations remotely from a device.
When users are unable to fix a problem from the device, VMware vSphere Mobile Watchlist will enable you to share the VM and alert information as well as any suggested KB articles and other web pages relevant to the issue at hand. Co-workers in the datacenter will be able to use this context to help resolve it.
VMware vSphere 5.0 and above is required to use VMware vSphere Mobile Watchlist. In addition, access to the vSphere infrastructure might require a secure access method like VPN.
