By combining QLogic HBAs with Veeam software in a Fibre Channel environment, our clients can reduce the amount of data at risk by using storage snapshots and frequents backups over a high performance FC network. Using QLogic Fibre Channel HBAs with Veeam software can relieve I/O multi-pathing and CPU cycles from VMware or Hyper-V infrastructure by leveraging HBAs and the underlying storage network to handle backup and replication tasks.
Gen 5 QLogic HBAs are supported with Veeam software in environments running vSphere 4 and higher or Hyper-V 2008 R2 and higher and major guest operating systems including Apple, CITRIX, Linux, NetWare, Solaris, VMware and Windows.
