Today at VMworld 2015, VCE announced a new VxRack System based on VMware EVO SDDC. The new VxRack gives companies the ability take advantage of VMware’s new software-defined data center and all of the benefits that includes. VCE will be giving customers the ability to map VxRack Systems to specific application environments.


Today at VMworld 2015, VCE announced a new VxRack System based on VMware EVO SDDC. The new VxRack gives companies the ability take advantage of VMware’s new software-defined data center and all of the benefits that includes. VCE will be giving customers the ability to map VxRack Systems to specific application environments.

Based on VMware EVO SDDC, the new VxRack System is a turnkey hyper-converged system with VMware’s software factory-integrated with VCE’s pre-engineered, factory built hardware and management software. The new system has all the benefits of EVO SDDC in a flexible scale out platform. The VxRack System based on VMware EVO SDDC enables service providers to build an IaaS platform and VDI solutions based on complete software-defined data center architecture. Using VMware EVO SDDC Manager, users will enjoy automated management of both software and hardware from deployment to update patches.

This new VxRack System based on VMware EVO SDDC is aimed at companies that want to agility and efficiency of the cloud with improved economics and security. The system is also for companies that who intend to standardize on VMware cloud technologies and want a solid foundation for their SDDC or organizations wanting to simplify and automate data center operations for VMware-centric data centers.

Availability

The VCE VxRack System based on VMware EVO SDDC is expected to be available in the fourth quarter of 2015.
