AMD’s latest announcement at CES 2024 promises a significant leap in desktop processor technology, especially for PC gaming and creative performance. AMD is launching the Ryzen 8000G Series desktop processors, including the Ryzen 7 8700G.
The 8000 G series shows up not only with its powerful built-in graphics but also for being the first desktop PC processor to include a dedicated AI neural processing unit (NPU). This advancement is positioned to unlock new AI capabilities for PCs, enhancing productivity, efficiency, and advanced collaboration. AMD also positions the NPU to introduce new experiences like AI-powered noise cancellation.
The Ryzen 8000G Series processors, built on the AMD “Zen 4” architecture, are optimized for efficiency and performance. The Ryzen 7 8700G boasts eight cores, 16 threads, 24MB of Cache, and Radeon 780M graphics. It’s an all-in-one solution offering performance for gaming titles in the esports sector and content creation.
