Atos has unveiled the BullSequana SH, a new hybrid server powered by the new 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors, and two new edge servers, BullSequana EXR and the BullSequana EXD. These new solutions are designed to tackle AI and analytics challenges in an age with consistently significant increases in data requirements.
Atos has created three servers with flexibility, built-in security, and a low carbon footprint using titanium power supply. These servers, made in Atos’ Angers factory, use the latest high-performance computing technologies from their partners, as well as in-house-designed motherboards and eco-friendly packaging.
Atos indicates that they can excel in virtually any workload or application with minimal latency and high efficiency. Moreover, they include the company’s Root of Trust and Chain-of-Trust security measures to ensure maximum data security. Atos has also built these servers with a focus on minimizing their carbon footprint by increasing compute density. This leads to better consolidation, lower energy usage, and a smaller physical footprint.
Atos BullSequana SH
The BullSequana SH server is designed to help customers with digital transformation by providing the necessary computing power for running specific workloads such as business-critical applications, in-memory databases, and analytics.
The server is fully compatible with SAP HANA, and is also ideal for virtualized and hyperconverged infrastructures, hybrid computing, and AI tasks like deep learning and machine learning. It is based on the newly launched 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors and can be scaled up to 32 sockets. This allows for efficient scalability without the need for over-provisioning and makes software usage more efficient without increasing energy consumption or physical footprint.
Additionally, customers will experience faster response times and increased memory capacity thanks to the support for DDR5 memory and Intel Optane Persistent Memory 300 series.

BullSequana EX series
Atos’ BullSequana EX servers are designed to handle large and business-critical data sets that may not be suitable for cloud migration. These servers offer maximum availability and low latency for complex and voluminous data assets, making them ideal for advanced computer vision applications such as AI-powered smart glasses, virtual and augmented reality and intelligent scene management.
The BullSequana EX comes in two designs, the BullSequana EXD and BullSequana EXR. The EXD is a far-edge desktop with a rackable option, while the EXR is an edge data center that can also be used for hyperconverged infrastructure.
Both servers offer flexibility with interchangeable CPUs and NVIDIA GPUs (ranging from the NVIDIA A2 GPU to the NVIDIA L40 GPU), allowing customers to build and deploy high-performance and latency-sensitive applications, as well as run hyperconverged workloads. They are also optimized for 5G and connectivity and fully adapted for MEC, 5G core, and VRAN workloads.
