Barracuda Backup also includes Cloud LiveBoot which enables VMs to boot from a backup appliance or from the cloud if access to local servers or primary storage is lost. This allows organizations to reduce the amount of downtime that they might otherwise face. With other solutions, VMware and cloud storage are backed up independently, but Barracuda Backup 5.4 rolls this all up into one solution. Additionally, Barracuda Backup 5.4 provides unlimited cloud storage for older backups, lowering the stress on local cache and creating longer retention periods if necessary. Beyond that, the new Barracuda Backup 1090 appliance increases maximum local cache capacity to > 100TB in a single appliance.
