Broadcom also introduced Tanzu AI Solutions, a set of capabilities within Tanzu Platform 10 to allow application teams to rapidly and safely deliver GenAI-powered intelligent applications at scale. Tanzu Platform 10, combined with VMware Cloud Foundation, offers a fast path to the private cloud with self-configuring setup and support for air-gapped environments.

Tanzu Platform 10 builds on Cloud Foundry’s approach to accelerating application delivery by providing standardized paths to production for developers and platform engineers. Developers can now use simple operations to automate secure container builds, bind services to applications, deploy code with a single command, and easily scale applications. The platform also automates application and platform management tasks, such as patching vulnerabilities, performing rolling upgrades, and enforcing policies, all with broad visibility and AI-powered insights.
The platform introduces a self-managed global control plane, enhancing automation and visibility across all application environments. Tanzu Platform 10 provides a Cloud-Foundry-like experience for Kubernetes, with application spaces that add an application-centric abstraction layer. This setup ensures consistent governance and compliance, allowing developers to focus on their applications while platform and operations teams manage infrastructure and configurations at scale.
Tanzu Platform 10 also offers enhanced contextual app-to-platform visibility across Cloud Foundry foundations or Kubernetes clusters, providing powerful built-in service binding to connect applications to middleware and databases while automatically managing credentials and connection strings. This integration saves significant time for development teams. The platform includes Tanzu Spring application security, compliance audits, policy enforcement, and automated CVE remediation through the new Application Advisor. Tanzu AI Solutions
Tanzu Platform 10 democratizes intelligent application development by including Tanzu AI Solutions, a comprehensive set of capabilities that enable customers to develop, operate, and optimize AI-powered, intelligent applications safely and at scale. Tanzu AI Solutions also provides GenAI observability and monitoring to address accuracy and performance, offering root cause analysis for applications and large language models (LLMs).
Spring AI, an open-source application framework, is included within Tanzu AI Solutions. This framework allows Java developers to build GenAI-powered features into applications using developer-friendly Java APIs that access LLM models and implement higher-level AI and application logic patterns. With Spring AI, Java developers can seamlessly integrate GenAI capabilities into new or existing applications without cross-training in Python.
OpenAI-compatible API Gateway Included
GenAI on the Tanzu Platform includes an enhanced OpenAI-compatible API gateway available within the Tanzu Platform and features built-in API abstraction, load balancing, resilience, and caching. This capability allows users to run or connect to over 100 proprietary or OSS LLMs securely and consistently. Tanzu Platform brokers LLM services like any other, such as databases and enterprise APIs, allowing platform engineering teams to curate AI services with role-based access controls and automate secrets management for security and resilience.
Observability for GenAI is another key feature, providing increased performance and accuracy by monitoring and assessing applications and model responses. This capability helps teams visualize, test, and troubleshoot AI applications by performing model accuracy checks, scanning for hallucinations, and monitoring token usage to control LLM call costs more effectively. Additionally, Tanzu Platform 10 supports VMware Private AI Foundation with NVIDIA with ready-to-curate, drop-down selections for application teams within the GenAI on Tanzu Platform service broker.
Air-Gap Support Included
Tanzu Platform 10 offers advanced services for VMware Cloud Foundation, including container operations and data services, delivering a path to a complete private cloud. Tanzu Platform 10 supports air-gapped environments for off-network, self-managed private cloud environments to accelerate the delivery of modern applications in private cloud environments. This feature includes a simple, self-configuring installation experience that pre-configures the Tanzu Platform for VMware Cloud Foundation. With a simple CLI command, Kubernetes cluster creation and networking configuration are automated, creating a ready-to-consume private cloud developer platform.
Global Server Load Balancing and Advanced Networking for Tanzu Platform bring new enhancements to private clouds using VMware Avi Load Balancer, with pre-configured support in Cloud Foundry deployments. Hardened VM and OSS images are integrated directly into the Tanzu Platform hub, enabling IT operations teams to deploy only validated, secure, packaged images within their private cloud estate. This integration also provides continuous vulnerability scanning of VM and OSS images.
