Ciphertex has announced the debut of new CX-10K-NAS (Network Attached Storage) and CX-R12K-NAS systems at Interop. Both systems integrate hardware AES 256-bit encryption with RAID storage. The 10-bay, portable CX-10K-NAS and 12-bay rackmount CX-R12K-NAS target forensic analysis, health care, oil and gas and media entertainment applications that require interoperable and secure data storage.

The 10-bay, portable CX-10K-NAS and 12-bay rackmount CX-R12K-NAS target forensic analysis, health care, oil and gas and media entertainment applications that require interoperable and secure data storage.
The CX-10K-NAS features up to 40TB of storage and offers sustained transfer rates up to 1,000 MB/s and 100,000 IOPS, and is VMware ready, Citrix XenServer ready and Windows Hyper-V complaint to simultaneously provide storage for IP-SAN (iSCSI) and NAS file sharing. The system also allows data transfer directly to a workstation through eSATA, USB 3.0 or wired network via 1Gb/E or 10GbE interfaces. Both the CX-10K-NAS and CX-R12K-NAS offer basic functionality and setup via a web GUI.
The 48TB, 100,000 IPOS rackmount CX-R12K-NAS also benefits from recent technology advances. The CX-R12K-NAS is designed to reduce ingest, analysis, and output times when deployed into a portable rack analysis solution or as part of a LAN/WAN data reduction/analysis system. The CX-R12K-NAS can be expanded to 72 data drives via JBOD enclosures for deployment as a NAS + iSCSI combination storage center for virtualized or clustered workgroup applications. The CX-R12K-NAS also includes built-in RAID management with hot-swap design.
