Among these Exablaze products are advanced ultra-low latency FPGA-based switches and network interface cards, as well as Terminal Access Point aggregation packet brokers.

Cisco believes that Exablaze’s technology will play an important role bringing next-gen platforms for low-latency applications:

  • Exablaze’s segment leading ultra-low latency devices and FPGA-based applications will immediately boost Cisco’s product offering in the Financial and HFT segments.
  • The addition of Exablaze to Cisco’s Nexus switching portfolio will complement Cisco’s current switching technology with the FPGA-based layer-1 switch and ultra-low latency NICs. Together, Cisco and Exablaze will accelerate next generation switch platforms and create more potential synergistic opportunities in emerging AI and ML segments.

This acquisition is expected to finalize some time in Q3 of FY20.
