More and more companies are turning to the cloud to lower costs and deal with the ever-growing amounts of data being generated. Unfortunately there are several portability issues involved with moving from on-premises to the cloud, including special gateways and data format conversions. With more and more companies using the cloud for more reasons, they need a simple and seamless way to move data back and forth.
Cohesity’s new DataPlatform CE takes its current solution’s cloud integration and provides native replication from on-premises DataPlatform deployments to cloud DataPlatform CE deployments. The new solution is able to replicate local storage instances to remote cloud services by leveraging Cohesity’s CloudReplicate feature. DataPlatform CE seamlessly integrates with Microsoft Azure and AWS.
Use cases include:
- Running Cohesity DataPlatform as a virtual appliance in the cloud
- Transferring data from on-premises Cohesity clusters to the cloud
- Leveraging cloud services for DevOps and disaster recovery workflows
Availability
Cohesity DataPlatform Cloud Edition is expected to be generally available in the first half of 2017 through AWS Marketplace and Azure Marketplace.
