The software has added I/O Boost technology that the company says will provide even greater data consolidation, lowers total cost of ownership (TCO), and delivers incredibly fast performance for backing up, accessing, and deriving insights from data in all-flash environments.

Flash has more than proven itself over the years and provides several benefits over spinning disks. Several modern workloads need the performance and low latency that flash provides. While the price is coming down there are still a handful of other issues that need to be addressed with flash, such as eliminating data silos and protecting, managing, and deriving insights from data. Cohesity believes it has solved these challenges while it can extend all-flash to backup and recovery, file and object services, dev/test and analytics. This is done through the changes it has made to Cohesity DataPlatform.
