Corsair announced it has started shipping the USB 3.0 version of its Flash Voyager series flash drives. Corsair says its USB 3.0 drives have up to four times the read speed of their USB 2.0 drives, allowing for much shorter transfer times. The USB 3.0 drives are backwards-compatible with USB 2.0, meaning legacy users are not left out.

The Flash Voyager USB 3.0 drives feature a rugged rubber housing; adding to their shock-protection and water-resistantance. The drives will be available worldwide this month at the following pricepoints; the 8GB version carries an MSRP of $19.99, the 16GB is $29.99, and the 32GB version is $69.99.
