Server-based storage is on the rise. Along with that, the massive influx of data makes software-defined infrastructure more appealing. Customers that are looking to make the switch may be hesitant, fearing the complexity of such a change. Datera and HPE are easing adoption with this ready-to-deploy solution.
Those that want to get started quickly are in luck as the companies claim the HPE Datera Cloud Kit had everything one needs to get started right away including Datera software license, HPE Smart Fabric Orchestrator license, HPE M-Series switches, HPE DL360 servers, cabling, and global support for containers such as Kubernetes, virtual machines, and bare metal applications thirsting for high performance block and object data. Users can receive further simplification in their configuration and optimization by leveraging the HPE Smart Fabric Orchestrator. Looking at the hardware, users will get four server nodes with either 76.8TB or 153.6TB of usable SATA flash capacity. Datera’s scale-out architecture allows the expansion of the environment by automatically incorporating new nodes and redistributing data in order to maximize performance.
