Dell Integrated Systems for Oracle Business Analytics
Dell’s new purpose-built Integrated System is designed specifically for Oracle Business Enterprise Edition to help customers reach quicker business insights and agility. With the Dell Integrated Systems for Oracle Business Analytics, customers from all business sizes can efficiently migrate to, and accelerate Oracle BI infrastructures to meet their data analytic needs today and easily scale in the future.
The Dell Integrated Systems for Oracle Business Analytics is also a pre-integrated, flexible, and easy-to-deploy solution, allowing customers to quickly and cost-effectively implement for Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition. In addition, the solution can be deployed with the Dell Integrated Systems for Oracle Database and Dell Acceleration Appliance for Databases to rapidly deliver IT resources, maximize efficiency of IT, and strengthen IT service with resilient, replicable, and affordable platform optimization help ensure quick deployment.
The Dell Integrated Systems for Oracle Business Analytics pre-bundles Dell PowerEdge infrastructure technology, offering significant performance gains and cost savings over similar pre-packaged appliance solutions on today’s market. Dell indicates that businesses will benefit from high performance in a cost effective design that reduces overall software license costs, all the while maintaining the ability to seamlessly scale. Dell goes on to say that with Dell Integrated Systems for Oracle Database or Dell Acceleration Appliance for Databases, customers can access innovative flash storage technology from Fusion-io to significantly improve storage latency and throughput.
Dell Storage Plug-in for Oracle Enterprise Manager
Dell Storage Plug-in for Oracle Enterprise Manager for SC Series (Compellent) storage arrays is a plug-in that provides Oracle Database administrators with visibility into their storage infrastructure pertaining to granular metrics, which helps to identify storage bottlenecks and issues. In addition, Dell says that customers will benefit from relationship information between database files, hosts, storage arrays, and storage volumes that provide information to troubleshoot Oracle storage environments.
Early adopters will able to access the new Dell Storage SC Series plug-in this fall, with an early 2015 release to all customers.
Dell Software Enhances Toad for Oracle and Other Tools
Dell has also announced various enhancements (Version 12.6) to its Toad family of database development, designed to help companies of all sizes get the most out of their Oracle investments, administration, and analysis tools. The Toad World community is comprised of over 3 million annual visitors.

Toad for Oracle is Dell Software’s database development and administration solution that enables developers and DBAs of all levels to work with greater efficiency and accuracy. With Toad for Oracle, Dells states that database professionals can connect with peers, community members and experts, all without having to leave Toad. Version 12.6 has been updated with some pretty serious upgrades to the product’s Team Coding capabilities in order to help organizations implement a database development best practices methodology. In addition, the newest release of Toad Data Point (version 3.6) includes new data profiling capabilities to help data analysts accelerate data preparation and improve data quality.
A public beta for Toad for Oracle 12.7 is now open, which provides integration into other tools in the Toad product line as well as improved developer collaboration for better team insight.
SharePlex Database Replication
SharePlex database replication and near real-time integration solution will also be getting an update with version 8.6. The upcoming release further expands the product’s heterogeneous database support by enabling users to replicate data from Oracle databases to Microsoft SQL Server. With this update, it joins the list of Oracle, Hadoop, SAP ASE, ODBC, JMS, SQL flat file and XML files as supported replication target platforms. This heterogeneous support enables customers to streamline operations and drive improved data analytics. In addition, Dell has enhanced its SharePlex Connector for Hadoop, which allows custom and range partitioning of data replicated to Hadoop environments. This gives organizations the ability to leverage the change data capture to drive business insights.
Stat Product Line
Significant upgrades to its Stat product line have also been announced, which includes Dell Stat for Oracle E-Business Suite now supporting Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2. Additionally, Dell Stat for Oracle’s PeopleSoft now supports PeopleTools 8.54, enabling companies to automate Oracle’s PeopleSoft change and release management. Dell Stat includes automated change management for Oracle application upgrades all the while helping to ensure almost zero disruption to these mission-critical applications.
