The two companies will be working together to design Dell Ready Stack solutions. Big Switch networks will be showcasing its portfolio of Cloud-First Networking solutions with Dell EMC open networking on the show floor at Dell Technologies World, booth 702.
Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Santa Clara, California, Big Switch Networks was one of the early pioneers in software-defined networking (SDN). The company’s mission is to bring public cloud-style networking and hybrid cloud consistency to organizations around the world through its cloud-first networking (CFN). An active member and contributor to multiple open-source communities, Big Switch has also been working with Dell EMD and Edgecore, delivering innovative software on open networking hardware.
With the new OEM agreement announced today, Dell EMC will be branding, marketing, and selling Big Switch products. This will give Dell EMC access to Big Switches technology while expanding the latter company’s reach with customers. Another aspect of the agreement is that Big Switch will join the list of available components in the Dell EMC Ready Stack architecture.
