Today at AWS re:Invent in Las Vegas, Nevada, Druva announced that its Phoenix solution is now available via Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace. The availability in AWS marketplace will make it easier for companies to access and deploy Phoenix for their disaster recovery needs. On top of speeding deployment and increasing ease of access, Druva states that the availability of Phoenix on AWS is also more cost-effective for companies wishing to take advantage of its unified backup, archival, and disaster recovery for server workloads.
The Druva Phoenix solution uses a single dashboard for backup, availability and governance to reduce the risk, effort and cost of protecting and managing structured and unstructured data. Phoenix uses a unique scalable, cloud native architecture that Druva claims will save on costs versus using legacy infrastructure.
As far as being more cost-effective, Druva states that not only do companies save time deploying from AWS, doing so also removes the burden from the legacy infrastructure thus lowering TCO. The consumption pricing model also leverages automated tiering on AWS to help cut down on costs. Finally, Phoenix via AWS uses Druva’s patented global deduplication and ever-incremental backups, reducing the amount of data stored and therefor reducing overall costs.
Availability
Durva Phoenix is available now on the AWS marketplace and comes with a 15-day free trial.
