Attaining the status of Ready for IBM Tivoli software validation demonstrates that ExaGrid’s solution meets or exceeds IBM compatibility criteria for customers looking for disk-backup solutions in their TSM environment. ExaGrid is now included in the IBM Global Solutions Directory and the Integrated Service Management Library (ISM).
ExaGrid announced its intention to support IBM TSM earlier this year. The combination of the backup application with ExaGrid’s disk backup with deduplication offers an additional reduction of up to 10:1 in the amount of backup data.
With ExaGrid’s now supporting IBM TSM, it considerably reduces customer’s reliance on tape and allows IT users to free up expensive disk space that can now be used for primary storage. IBM TSM customers will also benefit from ExaGrid’s GRID scalability to maintain the fastest backup performance over time as data grows, without costly major upgrades.
