R283-P93
The first server featuring the AmpereOne Family of processors is The R283-P93 is a 2U Rack Arm Server, which is primarily designed for networking applications. It supports up to 2 dual-slot Gen5 GPU cards. It is equipped with dual processors based on 5nm technology and comes equipped with 32 DIMM slots for 8-channel RDIMM DDR5 memory. The server offers a variety of storage options, including 12 hot-swappable bays that support Gen4 NVMe, SATA, and SAS.

Giga Computing’s collaboration with Ampere Computing dates back to 2020, beginning with the Ampere Altra platform. The new AmpereOne Family of processors aims to extend the capabilities of Arm architecture, boasting CPU core counts ranging from 136 to 192. These servers also support a variety of Operating Systems including RHEL 9.0, Fedora-36, Oracle 9.0, Ubuntu 22.04, and Debian 11. Overall, the new offerings highlight the ongoing partnership between Giga Computing and Ampere Computing in developing optimized solutions for Cloud Native computing needs.
