Hitachi GST is expanding its line of external storage devices with its Touro Pro series desktop and mobile external hard drives. 3GB of cloud storage is included for free. Other highlights include 7200RPM drives and USB 3.0 connections.
The Touro Pro drives provide local backup on the drives themselves but also backup to the cloud. 3GB of cloud storage is included for free, with paid accounts available up to 250GB ($49/year). The paid accounts also come with Apple iPhone/iPad apps.
The Touro Pro drives include backup file that can be set to run automatically every 30 minutes and backup selected media.
Pricing and Availability
The mobile drives (Touro Mobile Pro and Touro Mobile) are shipping now; the desktop drives (Touro Desk Pro and Touro Desk) will ship in June.
